Thank you for your enquiry. If you are a healthy adult women who is not pregnant, a treatment of 3 days of oral antibiotics as prescribed by your doctor in Russia is usually sufficient to treat you when you are having symptoms of cystitis. It is also important that you tell your doctor if you are having a fever or some back pain as this could mean that the infection has spread to the kidney. If you have repeated cystitis, you might benefit from the following preventive measures to help avoid the reccurences. 1. Increase water intake and try drinking 12 ounces of cranberry juice a day (this helps to redefine the lining of your bladder). 2. If you are sexually active and tend to have cystitis after sexual intercourse, going to the bathroom after intercourse could help. 3. Avoid antibacterial douches and spermicides. Hope this helps. As always, we recommend you check with your physician for the applicability of this general advice to your individual clinical situation.
