Question:
Is it possible to generalize about what types of medications are available over the counter at Russian pharmacies, and which require a doctor's prescription? Or does it depend on the specific drug? Or on the pharmacy? Please Advise. (Ps. My specific personal interests in this regard are related to the availability of albuterol inhalers for asthmatics, antibiotics (like erythromycin), and prednisone.

It is not possible to generalise with Russian pharmacies. Many will dispense antibiotics, albuterol and prednisolone without prescription, but others will need prescriptions. There is just no predicting it!
