Question:

Every time I go to see the doctor the nurse always tells me that my blood pressure is a little high. However, he never tells me what I should do to lower it. I exercise regularly, am in good health, and am relatively young (27). The only thing I can think of is that I drink around 2-3 coffees or diet pepsi a day to keep my mind active at work. Could this be influencing my blood pressure? What are the other possible causes?

Caffeine can certainly be influencing your blood pressure but so can other factors including the 'stress' of worrying whether your blood pressure is going to be high, or higher this time, or not lower this time... you don't mention what your blood pressure is so it's not possible to say whether this is a concern or not. We recommend you ask your doctor next time you see him what you can do to lower it if action is required.
