I suffer from intermittent (can last weeks) 'tightening' of the scalp, which is worse on the left side (extending to temple, cheek and jaw). I have been told this is 'osteokhandroz' and nothing can be done. Is this likely to be correct?

Thank you for your inquiry. It's not the case that any such diagnosis - even if correct, and there is insufficient information to say - means that there is nothing to be done. If this is a 'tic' then it may be amenable to treatment. But first a more specific diagnosis (which is different to a description) is required, and this in turn requires a detailed history and physical exam to be done. Best to see your doctor or if you have already done so, seek a second opinion.
