					| Could you please advise a good hospital to give birth in Saint Petersburg? I have tried to register with AMC, but they send their patients to give birth in Helsinki. Thanks.

					| Please be advised that we have no personal knowledge of these hospitals but we are reliably informed they offer the best maternity services in St Petersburg - anyone else with any other info please "jump in" The 18th Obstetric hospital. It has a delivery plan including 5 days hospitalisation, vaginal delivery or C-Section, medications, analgesia and private room with 2 beds for mother and father and cradle for the baby. In case of (elective) C-Section mother should be admitted 2 days prior the surgery. Visits to see the hospital can be on weekdays at 12 midday. The 9th obstetric hospital Also has a delivery plan including vaginal delivery or C-Section, 5 days hospitalisation, medications, analgesia and private room for mother and father and cradle for the baby. For elective C-section mother has to be admitted in advance also. Visits available on Tue, Wed, and Thu after 3 pm. Best to talk to other mothers in the community and of course go early on to check out the facilities (and have an idea / a list of what to ask depending on the mother-to-be's ideal preferences). Hope this helps. Best regards.
